Verabar® provides the most accurate, reliable technology for measuring gas, liquid and steam as well as the lowest operating and installation costs.
How it Works
When a fluid impacts the sensor, it creates a high-pressure zone in front of the sensor. As the fluid accelerates around the sensor, a low-pressure zone is created to the sides and rear of the sensor. Multiple sensing ports are positioned in these high and low-pressure zones and an averaged differential pressure is measured.
Features and Benefits:
- Superior performance in dirty fluids
- Stable signal
- Low permanent pressure loss
- Solid one-piece construction
- ± 1% accuracy
Greater Resistance to Clogging
Clogging can occur in low-pressure ports located in or near the partial vacuum at the rear of the sensor. The Verabar design locates the low-pressure ports on the sides of the sensor, forward of the fluid separation point and turbulent wake area. This virtually eliminates clogging and produces an extremely stable signal.

Verified Accuracy
This eliminates the need for calibration tests to characterize the coefficients. Empirical test data from independent laboratories is published in the Verabar Flow Test Report (VED-100).
Complete Flow Loops
Ready to install, the Verabar can be ordered with a manifold, transmitter or local indicating meter, flow computer and/or recorder. Complete Installation in less than an hour.
Models
Regular Models
Verabar V100 & V110
This is our most economical sensor and is mounted through a simple tube fitting. The V110 includes support on the opposite wall of the pipe.
Verabar V150
This advanced, patented design ensures the sensor remains sealed, locked and preloaded to the opposite wall regardless of changes in pipe diameter due to pressure, temperature or mechanical force.
- Most cost effective
- Quick installation
- Threaded components
Hot Tap - Threaded Models
Verabar V200
This sensor can be inserted and removed under pressure. It has threaded components and is available in single rod and double rod units.
Hot Tap - Flanged Models
Verabar V400
This sensor can be inserted and removed under pressure. It has flanged components and is available in single rod and double rod units.
Flanged Models
Verabar V500/V510
This model is used when flanged components are required. Available in flanged ratings up to 2500# ANSI. The V510 model includes opposite side support. Spec Sheet V500/V510 Installation Instructions Extended Range V500/V510 These sensors are similar to the V500/V510 sensors but are designed for larger pipe sizes and higher velocities.
Verabar V550
This flanged model ensures that the sensor remains sealed, locked and pre-loaded to the opposite wall, regardless of changes in pipe diameter due to pressure, temperature or mechanical force. Single support flanged components up to 600# ANSI.
